they put stuff on yor ears to num them so you wont feel it and thears this littel gun (but not reely a gun it just looks like one) that put the hole in yor ears and then yu have peersed ears and can wear earings like those
i think its a cupple weeks becuz when yu first get yor ears peersed yu have to keep the tiny earing they give yu (called a stud) in day and nite so yor ear hole wont close
if yu do it at home yu use a needle and ice to num yor ears but its better to do it at the mall because they have real numming spray
